Cat of the Year

CCI presents Cat of the Year awards to both exhibitors resident in the ACT and interstate exhibitors. Points are accumulated at each All Breeds Show held in the ACT during the calendar year January to December. Awards are made in the following categories, subject to the qualifications listed below:

Top 5 in each of the Groups 1, 2, and 3 for kittens, cats and desexed, except in Group 4 which is overall desexed cats and kittens. These are awarded in the two categories of CCI member and CCI associate member.

For your cat to be a recipient of a Cat of the Year award you must be:

• a financial member of CCI for the full calendar year, if you are an ACT resident; or
• a financial associate member of CCI for the full calendar year if you are an interstate exhibitor.
• all exhibits need to accumulate a minimum of 60 points from the All Breed Shows during a calendar year.

The final points are tallied after the CCI All Breeds Show in December each year, and awards are generally announced in January or February of the following year, with an Award function held in March of each year.
